Abstract A year since Operation Murambatsvina, this report looks at what happened to people whose homes and livelihoods were destroyed by the so-called clean up campaign. The new houses promised by Robert Mugabe's government have failed to materialise, many people are failing to access basic health care, Many children are not attending school, those who earned their living in the informal sector are no longer permitted to do so, and hunger is rife.
