  1. African Commission on Human and Peoples' Rights
    Banjul, The Gambia
    Established by the African Charter on Human and Peoples' Rights which came into force on 21 October 1986 after its adoption in Nairobi, Kenya, in 1981 by the Assembly of Heads of State and Government of the Organization of African Unity (OAU). The African Commission on Human and Peoples' Rights is charged with ensuring the promotion and protection of Human and Peoples' Rights throughout the African Continent.

    The Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting tagged "CHOGM 2003" will hold in Abuja, the capital city of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, from 5th to 8th December 2003. Zimbabwe will not be represented at CHOGM following its suspension from the councils of the Commonwealth.
