Abstract |
This paper, presented at a ISS conference Nov 4, 2003, discusses the land reform in Mozambique, South Africa and Zimbabwe, and considers two key issues: redistribution and land rights. It shows how the politics of land has entered a new and dramatic phase and alleges that the mood among the rural poor, inspired by Zimbabwe, is likely to challenge the current neo-liberal orthodox policies.
