Abstract |
The past two years have seen a record of deteriorating human rights, and the consequent social turmoil has led to an increasing number of internally displaced people (IDPs) in the country. Violence against the major opposition party, the MDC, has been well documented both locally and internationally. However, there have been equally as much human rights violations during the land disturbances and little of this deals with the direct evidence from the commercial farms: the farm workers have been subjected to continual intimidation, theft of personal belongings, vandalism, destruction of their homes, and forced to live as refugees in their own country. |
