The small-scale mining companies operate in very uncertain conditions and circumstances. This baseline study concentrates on small-scale mining with a bias to the gemstone sector. The main objectives of the study are to investigate the operations, profitability and Corporate Social Responsibility Practices of small-scale mines in existence. |
