Abstract In this press statement issued by the SADC Elections Observer Mission Leader, Her Excellency Minister Phumzile Mlambo Ngcuka, the SADC’s overall view is that the Zimbabwe elections were conducted in an open, transparent and professional manner, and that voters were able to express their franchise peacefully, freely and unhindered. However, SADC is concerned with the number of people who were turned away from polling stations.
