Samenvatting |
This report analyses the relationship between natural resources and conflict in countries as Sierra Leone and Liberia, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Angola, Colombia, Nigeria, Indonesia, and Bougainville. The auhor shows that breaking the link between trade and war will not only halt the income of warlords, and thereby shortening the conflicts, but will also enable the international community to fight lawlessness and corruption, and will safeguard human rights and improve the socio-economic situation.
