The illegal exploitation of the mineral and forest resources in the DRC is taking place at an alarming rate. Two phases can be distinguished: mass-scale looting and the systematic and systemic exploitation of natural resources. This report provides an onverview of this situation and looks at the links between this exploitation and the continuation of the conflict in the DRC. Includes recommendations and annexes on the companies and countries involved.
