Report of an International Expert meeting (8-9 Dec 2003, Brussels, organised by Amnesty International, IRENE, NiZA and Pax Christi. As became very clear during the meeting, the issue of a European policy on business in conflict areas cannot be 'solved' over night. The meeting was a the start of a continuing discussion over a longer period on the roles and responsibilities of the European institutions in this field. It still needs a lot of research, awareness raising and debate with the various stakeholders. |
